Boat production in Poland is one of the sectors of the economy, which is developing rapidly and systematically. Poland exports approximately 9.500 yachts annually worth over 85 million USD - mostly small sailing and motor cruisers and dinghies. The majority of this production is destined for large European corporations, such as: Benetau, Jeanneau and Marine Power Europe. Poland is the third largest exporter of boats to Germany after Great Britain and USA. Most Polish boat builders meet EU regulations and their products are highly competitive in both price and quality. Polish market for water sports is developing
at a steady rate. In Poland there are approximately 50.000 fully operational boats.
The best-known and largest sailing region in Poland is the Great Mazurian Lakes
District, which boasts thousands of lakes and is supported by a network of yacht
harbours and marinas. Sailing along the Baltic Sea offers long-term potential
as the marina network expands.
